What is Wisdom School?
Wisdom School provides learning experiences that help individuals connect with their own inner wisdom and build cultures of wisdom in their communities.
In Wisdom School, participants gain a safe, community space and a variety of tools for looking within and finding guidance. Students will also learn how to be with difficult emotions through curiosity and kindness, finding a deeper sense of calm in life. Ultimately, they will lead fuller lives.
Wisdom school is based upon the belief that each one of us holds the capacity for developing deeper wisdom; it is not a characteristic based upon our age, education, or personality. In fact, research supports that traits associated with being wise can be further developed through skillful practice and training.
Why Do we Need This?
We are currently living through an anxiety and depression epidemic, and our public dialogue centers around worry, reinforcing the belief that we as humans—and our own inner experiences—are not to be trusted.
But there is another way.
What if we believed wisdom was an inherent quality of our humanity, and what if this belief was the foundation of our communities?
We can create a life, and even a culture, that empowers us to connect with the depths of who we are.
Wisdom School was created for this purpose.
In a Wisdom School learning experience, you can expect to be guided by an attuned and experienced facilitator.
You can expect to be changed by the power of our common humanity.
You can expect to leave the course with skills, strategies, and a growing capacity to withstand life’s challenges and appreciate life’s joys with equanimity and calm.
Who Should Attend Wisdom School?
Wisdom School is for individuals who are seeking to lead fuller lives through connecting with their wisest self.
It’s for people who want to form a relationship with their emotions that is empowering and freeing.
It’s for people looking for a community—a safe space—to have deep, meaningful dialogue centered on personal growth.
